EQUI-JOINT® is an exceptionally complex joint-support supplement, both in its formulation and in its wide range of effects. Its strength lies in the carefully selected combination of ingredients and their multi-level support of joint health.
As we know, horses can suffer from many different joint-related issues. Most often, the first visible sign is lameness, and in some cases it is possible to identify which limb or joint may be affected. Pain, swelling and local heat are all common warning signs.
Professional veterinary diagnostics can then determine the underlying cause, which may include joint inflammation (arthritis or osteoarthritis), inflammation of the joint capsule (synovitis), bone or cartilage damage (osteochondral fragments), developmental disorders, joint infections, bursitis, cartilage wear, luxations and many other possible conditions. Once the cause is identified, proper treatment can begin.
During the development of EQUI-JOINT®, our goal was to create a supplement that covers all the key needs of healthy joint development and function:
- supporting joint structure and development (collagens)
- maintaining elasticity, hydration and synovial fluid production (glucosamine)
- slowing cartilage breakdown and improving water-binding capacity (chondroitin sulfate)
- reducing friction within the joint (hyaluronic acid)
- supporting anti-inflammatory processes and connective tissue regeneration (MSM)
The formula is further enhanced with carefully selected herbs that improve absorption and amplify the effectiveness of the active ingredients: rosehip, horsetail, ginger root and nettle leaf.
