Collagen is one of the most important building blocks of a horse’s joints, tendons, ligaments and connective tissues, ensuring flexibility, strength and proper function.
This supplement contains type I, II and III collagen derived from three different sources (bovine, porcine and fish collagen), providing targeted support for the musculoskeletal system and overall health.
Type I Collagen (from bovine and fish sources)
The primary structural protein of tendons, ligaments, bones and skin. It supports the strength and elasticity of connective tissues, contributes to bone stability, and promotes healthy skin and coat condition. Particularly important for sport horses under intensive workload and for horses in need of recovery.
Type II Collagen (from porcine and fish sources)
The main structural component of cartilage, responsible for its resilience and flexibility. It helps maintain joint hydration, may reduce discomfort caused by wear, and supports cartilage regeneration. Especially beneficial for senior horses, horses prone to joint issues, or those exposed to increased physical stress.
Type III Collagen (from bovine and porcine sources)
Primarily responsible for the elasticity of connective tissues, blood vessels and skin. It helps maintain proper tendon and ligament structure and supports tissue regeneration. It may also contribute to muscle and skin health.
Who is it recommended for?
- sport and competition horses exposed to increased musculoskeletal strain
- senior horses, to help maintain joint flexibility and cartilage health
- horses recovering from injury or surgery
- horses prone to joint issues, to improve comfort of movement
